Maker: Trevor Goodfellow
Specialism: Fabrication Supervisor
Tools of the trade: Stud weld gun, PAT tester, DA sander, screwdriver and CNC router
Likes: A morning brew, football- Newcastle United, golf and motorsport
Dislikes: Shopping, queuing and rogue callers
Trevor can claim to be one of the longest serving members of the fabrication team, making his very first sign 33 years ago. Respected highly by his peers, his wealth of knowledge and strong work ethic is reflected daily within the department and by those around him.
As Fabrication Supervisor he oversees the department ensuring all manufacturing processes run smoothly from start to finish. However, in addition to coordinating projects and delegating tasks, Trevor still very much plays a hands-on role in the factory.
A master of all trades, he contributes to each area of the sign making process, operating all onsite machinery and assisting team members whenever possible. His favourite tool of the trade? A stud weld gun. He can quite often be seen with one in his hand studding plates for various substates. If he doesn’t have his gun to hand, then the chances are he is wiring up the electrics to each sign, making them beam with light.
“Being surrounded by an extremely knowledgeable and competent team of fabricators certainly makes coming to work a privilege.”
